My honest review: Urban Decay Cherry collection

My honest review: Urban Decay Cherry collection

Urban Decay just launched the Cherry Collection. The new collection is filled with new shades inspired by cherry tones that ranges between the shimmering pink to deep burgundies.

I have to say that I had a Mini heart attack when I saw this PR package. I have been addicted to Urban Decay palettes since Naked 1 and  being on their PR list just made me love them more. I couldn’t start without saying that the whole collection came in a giant cherry, the kind of packaging that made me want to keep it. Without further ado let’s go to the review.

The Cherry collection is composed by a Naked palette with 12 shades, 3 lipsticks, a highlight and blush palette, 2 eye pencil and a makeup setting spray.

The New Naked Cherry palette

First impression is that they changed a bit the packaging to give it a fresh look without losing the traditional “Naked palette” design. They also changed the brush, now is a bit more rounded with longer bristles, which make the brush great for a smoky eye.

The new palette has a great color range that start with a light beige and finish with a deep burgundy. The first thing that comes to my mind when I see a eye shadow palette is to see if I can create a complete look with it and apparently Urban Decay has the same thoughts. Like all their other palettes, this one is perfect for a complete look.

The Naked Cherry palette has 2 perfect brown bone colors, 2 transitions shades, 5 shimmering and metallic shades and 3 dark shades perfect for give some dimension to the eyes.

All the shadows are very pigmented and with warm colors. A must have for this season. Even though all the shades are brand new a few of them reminded me of the Back-Talk palette and the Naked Heat palette shades.

The Urban Decay Cherry collection Lipsticks:

The collection includes 3 exclusive lipsticks. They all have a creamy and pigmented formula.

The Juicy and Devilish with a metallic finishing and Cherry with a creamy finishing.

The Urban Decay Cherry collection  Highlight & Blush Palette.

Different from the shadow palette they kept the same design for the package. The highlight colors are very soft. Perfect for a daily look and to keep in your work makeup bag. The blush is so soft that you can barely see it. I used my fingers to create the swatches and all the color pigments got stuck on them.

The Urban Decay Cherry collection Glide on Eye pencil

The colors are cute and you can use to finish the look or like a base for the eye shadows. It applies very creamy and dry after a few minutes.

The Urban Decay Cherry collection All nighter Makeup setting spray

The traditional All nighter setting spray is one of my favorites. They changed the formula a bit to ad a cherry smell but the effect  is still the same. Holding the makeup in place for the whole day.
